Essential Cookies

Required for the Service to function. These handle authentication, session management, onboarding state, age eligibility, and security. They cannot be disabled.

• onomo_age_lock_s (until you close your browser): keeps an age restriction in place for the rest of the browser session after someone indicates they are too young for an account, so the answer can't simply be changed. It holds no birth date, and it's gone once the browser closes, so other people who share the device aren't affected. A matching entry in session storage does the same job.
• onomo_birth_pending (30 minutes): carries the birth month and year you entered through Google sign-in, so it can be saved to your new account. It is deleted as soon as sign-in finishes.

Functional Cookies

Remember a choice you made: which AI model you picked, and, if you arrived through a friend's invite link, which invite to credit (kept for 30 days, then deleted when you sign up).

Preference Storage

We remember settings like your theme, last-used view, and UI state. These are kept in your browser's local storage (not cookies) to improve your experience, and never leave your device. One exception: which guided tours you've finished or skipped is also saved to your account when you're signed in, so a tour doesn't replay on another device.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics for aggregate, anonymous page counts; it sets no cookies. We use PostHog, through our own domain, to see which features people use and where they get stuck. With your consent, PostHog stores an analytics identifier in a first-party cookie and your browser's local storage. Without it, PostHog runs without cookies or storage and can't recognize you from one visit to the next. We also use Sentry to catch errors; with your consent it may record a masked replay of a small share of sessions so we can see what went wrong.
