Refund Policy

Policy Summary

All purchases on onomo are final and non-refundable. This includes subscription payments, marketplace purchases, and AI credit top-ups. We encourage you to use the free tier to fully evaluate the Service before making any purchase.

This Refund Policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. By making a purchase on onomo, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.

1. Subscription Payments

No refunds are issued for subscription payments. This applies to both monthly and annual billing cycles.

  • Monthly Subscriptions: When you cancel, you retain access to paid features through the end of your current monthly billing period. No partial refund is issued for the remaining days.
  • Annual Subscriptions: When you cancel, you retain access to paid features through the end of your current annual billing period. No partial or prorated refund is issued for the remaining months.
  • Upgrades: If you upgrade from Pro to Ultra mid-cycle, you are charged the prorated difference for the remainder of the billing period. This charge is non-refundable.
  • Downgrades: If you downgrade from Ultra to Pro, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing period. No refund is issued for the current period.

Why no refunds? onomo offers a generous free tier that includes access to all 13 synth engines, all 7 drum engines, all 12 effects, the full piano roll, step sequencer, arrangement timeline, mixer, and 25 AI messages per month. This free tier allows you to thoroughly evaluate the Service before committing to a paid plan. Paid subscriptions fund ongoing server costs for storage, AI compute, and infrastructure — costs that are incurred regardless of whether you use the Service during the billing period.

2. Marketplace Purchases

All marketplace purchases are final and non-refundable. This includes premium instruments, preset packs, sound packs, drum kits, project templates, and any other digital content purchased from the onomo marketplace.

  • Digital content is delivered immediately upon purchase and cannot be “returned”
  • Marketplace items are permanently owned — they survive subscription downgrades and cancellations
  • Items claimed using subscription claim benefits are treated the same as purchased items and are non-refundable

Defective Content: If you purchase marketplace content that is materially defective (e.g., files are corrupted, content does not match its description, or content fails to load in the Service), please contact support@onomo.io within fourteen (14) days of purchase. We will investigate and, at our sole discretion, may issue a replacement, store credit, or in exceptional cases, a refund for the defective item.

3. AI Credit Top-Ups

All AI credit top-up purchases are final and non-refundable. Credits are delivered immediately upon purchase and do not expire. Top-up credits are consumed only after your monthly plan credits are exhausted.

4. Billing Errors

We will issue corrections or refunds in the following limited circumstances:

  • Duplicate Charges: If you are charged twice for the same transaction due to a technical error, we will refund the duplicate charge.
  • Incorrect Amount: If you are charged an amount different from the displayed price at the time of purchase due to a technical error, we will refund the difference or the full amount as appropriate.
  • Unauthorized Charges: If your payment method was charged without your authorization (e.g., due to a compromised account), we will investigate and issue a refund if the charge is confirmed to be unauthorized. Please also contact security@onomo.io to secure your account.

To request a billing correction, contact billing@onomo.io within thirty (30) days of the charge. Include your account email, the date and amount of the charge, and a description of the issue. We will respond within five (5) business days.

5. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage you to contact us directly at billing@onomo.io before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider. We are committed to resolving billing issues quickly and fairly.

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute instead of contacting us:

  • Your account will be immediately suspended pending resolution of the dispute
  • We will provide evidence of the legitimate transaction to your bank or payment provider
  • If the chargeback is determined to be fraudulent (i.e., filed after legitimate use of the Service), your account may be permanently terminated
  • We reserve the right to pursue collection of the disputed amount plus any chargeback fees incurred

6. Account Termination

If your account is terminated by onomo due to a violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy, no refund will be issued for any remaining subscription time, unused AI credits, or marketplace purchases.

If you voluntarily delete your account, no refund will be issued for any remaining subscription time or unused credits. You will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period if you cancel your subscription before deleting your account.

7. Regional Consumer Protection

Some jurisdictions have consumer protection laws that may grant you additional rights regarding refunds for digital goods and services. To the extent that any provision of this Refund Policy conflicts with mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction, the mandatory laws will prevail.

European Union Residents: Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases. However, for digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium, this right of withdrawal is lost once performance has begun with your prior express consent and acknowledgment that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. When you complete a purchase on onomo, you are asked to expressly consent to immediate delivery of the digital content and to acknowledge the loss of your withdrawal right. By providing this consent at the point of purchase, you waive your right of withdrawal for that transaction in accordance with Article 16(m) of the Directive.
